Magic,
Balloon Sculpting and Face-Painting
is special to kids. It sparks their imagination and helps them to
wiggle, giggle, and squirm. I always mix comedy by-play and
audience interaction and participation. My interactive shows combine
magic with comedy and audience participation. If it is a
birthday celebration, the child becomes the STAR of the show.
Birthdays
Birthday party shows consist of an
hour of performance:30 minutes of magic/face painting, 25 minutes of
balloon sculpting, larger special balloon made for birthday child
made during show, a large balloon creation given as a gift to child
that is in the parties theme, 5 minutes singing of the happy
birthday song.
For those with need for less
time a single option can be given for 30 minutes: Face Painting, or
Magic, or Balloons.
Picnic and
Festival style
I
really stand out in a crowd as I perform walk-around magic, balloon
sculpting and children's comedy for your guests. I also
perform stage shows for festivals and picnics. Stage shows are
usually 45 minutes long and may be performed at various times
throughout the day preferred. Walk-around entertainment can be
scheduled for a few hours on a single day or many hours over a
number of days.
School shows
I
perform a 30 minute or 45 minute show. This can be just an all out
show done for laughs, or fun learning experience, depending on your
goals for the show. I always try to teach a bit in each show. Some
past shows have included: "The Not So Glorious History of Pirates"
{Pirates, North Carolina History, American History}
featuring a magical
tied and chained escape for audience member, How Weather
Works" {Science, Physical and Natural}
featuring a snow storm
from my finger tips, "My Life In School" {General
Education} with introduction of and strong reinforcement of
Character Education
featuring a magical
illusion of child appearing onstage.
Other
shows have included skits dealing with safety education, making a
favorite teacher or student appear on stage with comedy magic {THIS
YOU HAVE TO SEE}, "Caution Snakes", "How much is money really
worth", slime juggling and making it "snow" in the auditorium .
School shows can be customized to a particular topic or goals as
defined by the curriculum.
Daycare
centers and Pre-schools
Depending on the size of the audience, these performances are usually 30 to 45 minutes. This show is done for laughs and
fun. Balloon sculptures may be included either as a centerpiece for
the class room for all to enjoy, a sculpture to reward the best
behaved child of the day, or may be provided for each child. {All
balloons created must be held by teacher and given to the parent at
pick-up time at the end of the day.}
Teaching
themes are embedded into each performance and can include one or
more of: Good manners, following directions, taking turns, safety,
and helping others.
Restaurants
I
perform table to table as well as lobby entertainment with different
characters available for selection for most events: Johnny G,
Squidmon T Pirate, and KrackerJack. Many restaurants use my services to enhance their family night
or to increase interest on nights of low attendance. Performances
are usually 2 to 3 hours in length and most often occur at peak dining periods
so as to enhance the eating experience and help maintain customer
loyalty.
